I think Mikumo would be better in a operator position. He’s not that good in combat that he can’t be replaced but he is good in making decisions so it would be beneficial for the team. And even operators can go in away missions so he can still go with chika.

You guys seem to misunderstand Mikumo's part in this story. They already have 2 monsters on the team, having another one would just be lazy writing, instead this guy is the glue that keeps them together and will probably motivate many of the other teams to work together with them. That's how I see it at least. If he wasn't a combat agent he wouldn't get to meet all those people face to face and interact with them so he couldn't become the important piece of the story that the writer is trying to make him.

i think so too. it would be better to utilize his strength properly. aside from not being good in combat like yuma and having just a little amount of trion unlike chika, it's better for him to be the 'strategist' in the group. as long as he wouldn't drag his teammate down.
